Several days ago, I was on a business trip to Oklahoma City when I spotted my very first UPS package style vehicle from Amazon. Later that same evening, I was fortunate enough to also spot the cabs with the Prime logos. You can imagine my surprise when I first notice the vehicle. I had already imagined in my mind that it was a UPS vehicle. As I focused on the logo a bit further. I finally came to the realization that in fact, it was an Amazon vehicle. Being an ex-UPSer myself, it took me a bit by surprise. To see a prime logo on that style of vehicle instead of the big Brown UPS logo that we all have gotten a custom too. I have been saying for seven years now. I believe that in an effort to achieve scale rapidly and keep up in the growth in this COVID era, Amazon will eventually make a bid to purchase UPS or FedEx. I understand why they would purchase that type of vehicle. It is a well-designed vehicle with plenty of room to grow capacity. But wouldn’t it also make it a lot easier to blend in some type of Acquisition.
So, let me know what you think, will Amazon eventually purchase UPS or maybe even FedEx chime in?
